Rev. Janice A. Puliti

Rev. Janice A. PulitiPastor Janice is the Lead Pastor at St. John’s. She was appointed in 2001 as Associate Pastor and re-appointed in 2008 to serve as Lead Pastor. She is a graduate of Neumann College (B.S.N.) and the University of Pennsylvania (M.S.N.) and served as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in both clinics and hospice settings before responding to God’s call to ordained ministry. Janice received her M.Div. from Palmer Seminary and is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. She has two children, Christopher (who is deceased) and Allison, who lives in Delaware County. Janice loves to spend time with her grandchildren, and also with her two shelties! She feels especially blessed to be serving St. John’s and the surrounding community, and believes that we truly are a church family of “Open Arms and Serving Hands, Transforming Lives Through Christ.

 

Rev. James MacMain

Rev. James MacMain

Pastor Jim is a graduate of Temple University (B.S. in Education) and Crozier Theological Seminary (M.Div. & also a Masters in Religious Education) and Eastern Baptist Seminary (D.Min.). He is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church and serves, in retirement, as St. John’s part-time Pastor of Visitation. He loves to visit people, to teach, and to preach!

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Alison Beal

Director of Christian Education

Alison has been a member for over 22 years and on staff over 15 years.  She is an Elizabethtown College graduate with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She and her husband, Wayne, have been married for 30 years and have three sons, Brian, Kevin and Christopher. Volunteering at St. John’s became a part time staff position and eventually full time. She is passionate about creating a variety of opportunities where people can share their gifts and grow in their relationship with God.

Youth Director and Outreach

David has been a member of St. John’s for nearly 20 years. Before taking over as the youth director in August of 2010, David was a welder/machinist for 30 years, also serving 9 years in the Pa. National Guard. David and his wife Carol taught children’s Sunday school, where Carol still helps out. His goal is to build an atmosphere for the youth to feel safe and to help show them their purpose with God. He has 2 grown children, Katie and Dale and loves to sing Christmas carols all year long.

 

Roy Nelson

Director of Music Ministries

Roy Nelson has served as Director of Music Ministries for 26 years at St. John’s. He directs our Four Vocal and Four Handbell Choirs. In addition to directing at St. John’s, Roy has served as music director in the Neshaminy School District for 33 years, and was Vocal Music Director at Villa Joseph Marie High School for 5 years. He also directs our Summer Music Camp, Festival of Carols and Broadway Night.

 

 

Mrs. Debra Lee & Mr. Rick Denzien 

Contemporary Music Worship Leaders

Debra Lee and Rick Denzien co-serve as worship music leaders for St. John’s 9:15 AM Contemporary Worship Service. In addition to their role at St. John’s, the husband and wife team are recording artists, performing and writing original music as a duo called Lyra Project (www.lyraproject.com). Full time musicians, Debra teaches piano and vocal lessons at her private studio in Ambler, PA; and Rick, a sound engineer and music producer, operates bäh-fō Recording Studio, also in Ambler. They come to St, John’s with experience as music worship directors, and having performed original songs of hope, faith, love, and inspiration in various denominations and spiritual settings, including retreats and seminars. They both hold Bachelor of Arts degrees, Debra from West Chester University where she studied music theory and piano pedagogy; she’s also a certified vocal instructor. Rick holds a degree in Religion, Philosophy & Psychology from Robert Wesleyan University, and studied sound & recording engineering at Fredonia State College in New York.

Director of Community Outreach

Connie retired from the Active Duty Navy in February of 2009 where she served as a recruiter for Navy Special Programs. A graduate of several military schools, she is well equipped to embrace and develop the challenges of the church’s constant need for outreach as well as being vigilant to what individual needs are and how they can be met through what the church has to offer. In October of 2011 she joined our staff at St. John’s as the Director of Community Outreach.
